Visible beauty effects – tangible and effective
Here, in cooperation with Permcos GmbH, we can now offer you some novel cosmetic preparations that provide novel visual and/or functional effects.
Starpheres – Visible beauty effects as beads
Starpheres are hard, round beads that soften in an aqueous environment, but do not dissolve. When applied, these colored beads disappear completely. These Starpheres can be loaded with active ingredients, vitamins, oils or even perfumes. With these beads, available in many colors, effects can be conveyed (e.g., blue = cooling, yellow = energizing Q10, green = vegetable oil). These beads are available Ecocert-, NaTrue- or also Cosmos-compliant, because the matrix of cellulose, starch or also mannitol is completely degradable, with perfect visible beauty effects for your natural cosmetics.
Starpheres are also available as ECO exfoliators based on cellulose, silica or zeolite. They are therefore a green alternative to wax beads. These peeling bodies are available in different sizes and different colors. Here, too, visible beauty effects and product benefits can be excellently combined.
A current trend from Asia is the use of Charcoal/Activated Carbon as a cleansing agent.
Due to its large surface area, Charcoal can adsorb dirt, skin flakes and make-up residues. Charcoal is also available as beads and in transparent systems also provides great visible beauty effects. These beads are available in different sizes and offer a novel, deep cleansing experience.
Starpearls – Visible Beauty Effects as soft pearls
This also applies to Starpearls – a series of round, soft pearls. These too can be loaded with many substances (including solids, but not oils) and can signal or create visible beauty effects (e.g., if exfoliating body or glitter is incorporated). They give the product an extra feel when rubbed in and are ideal for a 2-in-1 effect. These beads are made of agar and alginates and are also made entirely from natural ingredients. The visible beauty effects can be topped by combining two colors in one pearl.
Emulsion Pearls
The technology of emulsion pearls has already been awarded several international prizes. Almost any oil-in-water emulsion can be transformed into pearls, offering a variety of novel textures. These beads float in an aqueous liquid, which can be a serum, a water-in-oil emulsion or a water-in-silicone system, or even a fruit water such as orange water. When dispensed from an airless pump dispenser, the bead bursts and a mixture of inner and outer phases suggests a novel skin sensation. The visible beauty effects of these emulsion beads results from the novel product appearance, the round or oval shape or even a 2-colors-in-1-bead.
Our partner offers a wide portfolio of “standard emulsions” or you can also develop your own preparation with us and then have it transformed into pearls. These emulsion beads can be produced up to 10 mm in diameter and therefore also offer portionability. For example, you could also recommend a guaranteed effective amount of your product to your customers.
