Phlorizin (CAS number 60-81-1) is a plant glycoside that belongs to the flavonoid group. It is a sweet-tasting, crystalline, white to yellowish substance. The aglycone of phlorizin is phloretin (CAS number 60-82-2), a dihydrochalcone, i.e. a type of natural phenol.
Apple polyphenol protects against free radicals, inhibits inflammation and can slow down cell oxidation.
